Design 2302 Tartan Ten

Here is the Tartan Ten. Developed in 1976, the T-10 was developed as a racing/cruising/daysailing boat that was not designed to any specific rule. She was designed as a boat with an enormous cockpit and minimal interior, yet still sleeps six.

A prototype was constructed by Handy Boats of Falmouth, Maine using wood-Epoxy construction methods. From this prototype a plug was made. The boat was extremely popular with over 400 boats being built. The boats remain popular with large racing fleets still active today, especially in the Mid-West.

The boats are constructed of solid skin fiberglass laminate, longitudinal stringers and with cored fiberglass decks. They are virtually "bullet proof".
